Your home throughout this journey is a curated luxury experience from start to finish.
In Hanoi, you will stay at a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter featuring ornate marble floors, artistic urban-chic design, a rooftop bar with sweeping city views, and a location that puts you steps from Train Street, night markets, and the buzzing energy of Hanoi's most iconic neighborhood.
In Ha Long Bay, you will spend two nights aboard a luxury cruise that blends the elegance of a modern superyacht with Indochinese charm. Expect a stylish Oasis Suite, gourmet dining at Harmony of the Sea Restaurant, an infinity pool and jacuzzi, and an unforgettable overnight experience anchored in one of the most stunning natural wonders in the world. Day One (Friday, March 26th)
XIN CHÀO, HANOI
Your journey begins in Hanoi, Vietnam's cultural heart, shaped by centuries of history and evolving dynasties. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, head to your luxury boutique hotel to check in and settle into the buzz of the Old Quarter. The afternoon is yours to unwind, catch up on rest, or take a slow walk through the surrounding streets.
In the evening, we come together for our signature welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant, a warm introduction to Vietnamese cuisine and the perfect way to meet your fellow travelers.

Day Two (Saturday, March 27th)
AN INTRODUCTION TO OLD HANOI
Today, Hanoi unfolds. Begin the morning at Hang Be market, where you will get an authentic look into how the people of the Old Quarter live, shop, and eat. From there, we head to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, a rare example of 11th-century Vietnamese architecture still standing today. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you will see the traditional stilt house and the iconic One-Pillar Pagoda.
The afternoon includes a stop at the famous Train Street, where cafés sit inches from the tracks and locomotives rumble past just feet from your table. Close the day with a cyclo ride through the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, taking in the pulse of everyday Hanoi life.

Day Three (Sunday, March 28th)
MICHELIN EATS
Today, we do Hanoi the way locals do. Hop on the back of a vintage Vespa and set off on a Michelin-selected food trail through the bustling streets and hidden corners of the city. Taste smoky charcoal-grilled bun cha served with fresh herbs and dipping sauce, aromatic local snails prepared with spices, and a comforting bowl of traditional pho with fragrant broth and tender meat. Cap the experience with Hanoi's signature treat: a rich, creamy egg coffee.
Your evening is free to explore, rest, or upgrade to an optional spa treatment (at additional cost).

Day Four (Monday, March 29th)
ALL ABOARD IN HA LONG BAY
This morning, we depart Hanoi for Ha Long Bay, a scenic private drive to one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the Capella Cruise team at Tuan Chau International Marina and transferred to the cruise by tender boat.
Once onboard, settle into your luxury Oasis Suite and enjoy lunch at Harmony of the Sea Restaurant as the cruise sails toward Lan Ha Bay. In the afternoon, we anchor at the Frog Lagoon area for water activities including the Infinity Oasis Pool and Jacuzzi, an inflatable water slide, kayaking, paddleboarding, or mini-golf on the top deck.
Enjoy Happy Hour drinks and snacks at sunset, participate in a cooking demonstration of a traditional Vietnamese dish, then sit down to a gourmet fusion dinner at Harmony of the Sea. The evening offers optional onboard recreation from the Cigar & Poker room to night squid fishing.

Day Five (Tuesday, March 30th)
HIDDEN VILLAGES + PRISTINE BEACHES
Rise with the sun and begin the day with a Tai Chi class on the Ocean Sky Sundeck as Ha Long Bay glows in morning light. After a light breakfast, we transfer to Viet Hai pier by speed boat to explore an ancient hidden village. Travel by bicycle or electric car through a beautiful lagoon and cave, arriving at Viet Hai Village, where you will meet locals, visit a traditional ancient home, learn how rice wine is made, and refresh yourself with a natural fish massage.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then transfer to the pristine Ba Trai Dao Beach for swimming, sunbathing, and simply watching the world drift by. Return to the cruise for another sunset Happy Hour, a cooking demonstration, and a second gourmet dinner. Close the night with onboard recreation.

Day Six (Wednesday, March 31st)
CAVES DEEP DIVE
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast. Then, board traditional rowing bamboo boats to visit the Dark & Bright Cave, where you will glide through a hidden passageway into a serene round lake surrounded by lush trees and towering stone cliffs.
Return to the cruise, check out of your suite, and enjoy brunch as the boat sails back to Tuan Chau pier. From there, your private driver will transfer you back to Hanoi where you will settle back into your luxury boutique hotel. The evening is yours to unwind.

Day Seven (Thursday, April 1st)
FREE DAY: HANOI, YOUR WAY
Today is completely yours. Spend the day exploring the labyrinthine streets of the Old Quarter by foot or three-wheeled cyclo. For lunch, head to Bun Cha Huong Lien to try the Hanoian dish so beloved it has served guests like Barack Obama and Anthony Bourdain. Sip cocktails at the The Summit rooftop bar for sunset views over Tay Ho (West Lake) or find your own perfect Hanoi moment.
In the evening, we come together for our farewell dinner at a local Vietnamese restaurant, a warm and joyful way to close out our journey together.

Day Eight (Friday, April 2nd)
TIME FOR FAREWELLS
Your Vietnam journey wraps today. Depending on your departure time, enjoy a slow morning, do any last-minute shopping, or simply take in one more cup of Vietnamese coffee before you head to Noi Bai International Airport. You leave Vietnam carrying culture, flavor, community, and the kind of memory only a country this rich can give you.

Airport transfers are not included in this trip. There are add-on options available for transportation.
Please try to schedule your flight to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) in Hanoi on Friday, March 26th, between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM local time.

Entry Requirements
Passport: Six months of remaining validity required. One blank page required for entry stamp.
Visa Requirements: U.S. citizens require a visa to enter Vietnam. An e-visa is available online and is the easiest option for most travelers. We will share guidance closer to the trip.
Health and Safety: There are currently no COVID-19-related entry restrictions. No vaccination certificates or pre-departure tests are required to enter Vietnam.
Prior to Your Departure
Check if you need to update your passport. Your expiration date needs to be six months from the date of the trip.
Do your own research on Vietnam. Being well informed adds to your overall experience. Also be sure to sign up for State Department/Embassy alerts and the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)

Money/Currency
The national currency of Vietnam is the Vietnamese Dong (VND). Most hotels, restaurants, and larger establishments accept credit and debit cards, though smaller shops, local markets, taxis, and family-owned businesses often prefer cash. Card transactions may include international processing fees and will follow the current exchange rate, which can vary. We recommend carrying small amounts of cash for street vendors, tips, and local purchases, and to check with your bank before traveling to avoid unexpected charges.
Travel Insurance
Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Lesbifriends Travel requires you to have travel insurance for any trip you take with us. Your premium is related to your trip cost, so you don’t have to worry about being over-insured. We want to make your travel experience seamless, so sign up and we will get a travel insurance policy for you or we can provide you with a no obligation quote. If you opt not to go with our preferred travel insurance provider, you are required to get your own and proof of insurance may be requested before the trip.
Payments and Payment Plans
All payments to Lesbifriends Travel are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Lesbifriends Travel has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.
When you sign up for a trip, you are automatically signed up for monthly payments and your confirmation email will clearly note your due dates and amount. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.
A $75 late fee will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Your trip is subject to cancellation after two missed payments.

If you are traveling alone and do not want to spend the extra money for a single occupancy room, we are happy to match you with a like-minded traveler to be your roommate on this trip. We understand that the extra money spent in getting your own room takes away from the money available for you to splurge while on vacation.
For that reason, we extend each traveler the option of having us pair you with a suitable roommate for no additional cost. Roommates are paired based on room selection and a potential roommate questionnaire if there are several solo travelers. Before the trip, you will be introduced to your roommate, with plenty of time for you to get to know each other before we reach our destination.
