Welcome to Ireland, a country where history whispers from every cobblestone and warmth pours from every pub. This five-day journey through Dublin invites you to step into the story of one of Europe's most soulful cities and its surrounding coast. From queer history walking tours to vintage double-decker afternoon tea, from ancient tombs older than the pyramids to intimate live music sessions in traditional Irish pubs, this trip balances culture, community, and just enough free time to let the city speak to you. Designed with intention for Black queer travelers, this experience blends history, storytelling, incredible food, and moments that feel exclusively yours.
This experience is designed for a small group of up to 12 travelers, allowing for meaningful connection, flexibility, and shared moments throughout the trip.

There is one day in between, giving you the option to either travel straight through or take a moment to breathe between destinations. Two countries. Two full experiences. One unforgettable spring. The Accommodations
Your home throughout this journey features thoughtfully selected boutique stays that reflect the charm and character of each city you visit. In Dublin, you will stay at a beautifully restored 4-star hotel just steps from Trinity College and the vibrant Temple Bar district. Expect elegant modern rooms, a stylish rooftop bar with panoramic city views, and a location that puts you within walking distance of everything you came to see.

Day One (Monday, June 21st)
FIRST STEPS IN DUBLIN
Your journey begins in Dublin. Upon arrival, your private driver will be waiting to escort you to your hotel to check in or drop your bags.
In the afternoon, we board a fully restored 1960s vintage double-decker bus for a 1.5-hour Afternoon Tea Vintage Bus Trip through the heart of Dublin. Enjoy a full afternoon tea with fresh sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a selection of desserts while soaking in the sounds of 1950s jazz and the sights of Trinity College, Georgian Dublin, Merrion Square, St. Stephen's Green, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and beyond. The rest of the day is yours to unwind and explore.
Day Two (Tuesday, June 22nd)
QUEER HISTORY + IRISH TRADITION
Today, Dublin unfolds in a way most travelers never get to see. Begin with a Queer Dublin Walking Tour, a moving journey through the city's LGBTQ+ history, from the General Post Office and revolutionary queer figures, to Panti Bliss's iconic 'Noble Call' speech at the Abbey Theatre, to Dr. Lydia Foy's role in the Gender Recognition Act, and the historic Marriage Equality Referendum at Dublin Castle. This tour is a celebration of the community, the struggle, and the joy of Ireland's queer past and present.
In the evening, we come together for The Irish House Party, a beloved dinner and show featuring live traditional Irish music and dancing from All-Ireland champion musicians and dancers. Voted one of the top ten things to do in Dublin year after year, this is culture, food, and joy all in one unforgettable night.

Day Three (Wednesday, June 23rd)
ANCIENT EAST
Today is a full-day private tour into Ireland's Ancient East with our expert local guide. First, we visit the Hill of Tara, the ancient seat of Ireland's high kings, where every step whispers with history. From there, we experience a guided visit of the Boyne Valley with entry to the Newgrange Chamber and Brú na Bóinne, a 5,500-year-old passage tomb older than the pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge.
Additional stops along the private tour may include Trim Castle (Ireland's best-preserved Anglo-Norman castle), Four Knocks (a 5,000-year-old neolithic passage tomb), and Monasterboice (an early Christian settlement dating back to 600 AD).
In the evening, we cap the day with a Musical Pub Crawl in Dublin, an intimate two-pub experience led by two professional musicians who guide you through the history, evolution, and unmatched joy of Irish traditional music. Come ready to clap, sing, and become part of the show.

Day Four (Thursday, June 24th)
COASTAL WALK + CASTLE COOKING
Today, we head just outside the city to the beautiful Howth Peninsula for a Private Howth Coastal Hike, an 8km cliff walk through one of Ireland's most stunning coastal villages. Take in panoramic views of the Atlantic, learn the local history from our guide, and breathe in the fresh sea air.
Afterward, we make our way to Howth Castle for a Private Cooking Class at the Howth Castle Cookery School. Roll up your sleeves and work together with professional chefs to prepare a curated meal in the newly restored 18th-century castle kitchen space. When your dishes are done, gather in the stunning Garden Room to enjoy everything you have created together.

Day Five (Friday, June 25th)
TIME TO PART WAYS
Your Ireland journey wraps today. Enjoy a slow breakfast and a final walk through Galway's charming streets before your transfer to the airport for your flight home or your next adventure (Scotland, perhaps?). You will leave Ireland with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and the kind of warmth that only this country can give you.

If you are traveling with a friend or partner and plan to share a room, we recommend that each of you book individually so payments and registration can be managed separately. Just include your roommate's name during registration and we will be sure to place you in the same room. Important Information
Flights
Airport transfers are included in this trip on both arrival and departure days within the designated time windows listed below.
Please try to schedule your flight to arrive at Dublin Airport (DUB) on Monday, June 21st between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM local time in order for airport transfers to be included.
Please try to schedule your departure flight from Dublin Airport (DUB) on Friday, June 25th, after 3:00 PM local time in order for airport transfers to be included. There is one group transfer provided, departing around 11:00 AM.
If you arrive earlier on the arrival day, you are welcome to wait at the airport until your group’s scheduled pickup time so that you can join the included transfer. Otherwise, you are welcome to arrange your own transfer to the accommodations or request a private transfer at an additional cost.
The same applies for departure day. If your flight departs outside the included transfer window, you may coordinate your own transfer or request a private transfer at an additional cost.

Entry Requirements
Passport: Six months of remaining validity required. One blank page required for entry stamp.
Visa Requirements: U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays up to 90 days in Ireland.
Health and Safety: There are currently no COVID-19-related entry restrictions. No vaccination certificates or pre-departure tests are required to enter Ireland.

Trip Terms & Conditions
We believe in transparency and informed travel. The document below outlines the Trip Terms & Conditions you will agree to once you book, so we invite you to review it ahead of time.
Money/Currency
The official currency in Ireland is the Euro (EUR). Most hotels, restaurants, and major retailers accept credit and debit cards, though smaller pubs, shops, taxis, and family-owned businesses often prefer cash. Card transactions may include international processing fees. We recommend carrying small amounts of cash for tips and small purchases, and to check with your bank before traveling to avoid unexpected charges.
Travel Insurance
Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Lesbifriends Travel requires you to have travel insurance for any trip you take with us. Your premium is related to your trip cost, so you don’t have to worry about being over-insured. We want to make your travel experience seamless, so sign up and we will get a travel insurance policy for you or we can provide you with a no obligation quote. If you opt not to go with our preferred travel insurance provider, you are required to get your own and proof of insurance may be requested before the trip.
Payments and Payment Plans
All payments to Lesbifriends Travel are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Lesbifriends Travel has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.
When you sign up for a trip, you are automatically signed up for monthly payments, and your confirmation email will clearly note your due dates and amount. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.
A $75 late fee will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Your trip is subject to cancellation after two missed payments.

If you are traveling alone and do not want to spend the extra money for a single occupancy room, we are happy to match you with a like-minded traveler to be your roommate on this trip. We understand that the extra money spent in getting your own room takes away from the money available for you to splurge while on vacation.
For that reason, we extend each traveler the option of having us pair you with a suitable roommate for no additional cost. Roommates are paired based on room selection and a potential roommate questionnaire if there are several solo travelers. Before the trip, you will be introduced to your roommate, with plenty of time for you to get to know each other before we reach our destination.
