Amsterdam:

World Pride

July 23rd - 29th, 2026

Amsterdam in the summer is magic on its own, but Amsterdam during World Pride is something else entirely. This journey brings together culture, celebration, and community for a week that blends queer joy with the beauty of one of Europe’s most iconic cities. Over seven days, you’ll wander cobblestone streets lined with canals, explore world-class museums, savor Dutch and global flavors, and experience Pride events that transform the entire city into a living, breathing tapestry of love and liberation. Designed with Black queer travelers in mind, this trip is about connection and ease as much as it is about fun. You’ll arrive as an individual but move through Amsterdam with a group that feels like chosen family, creating memories that stretch far beyond the parade route. Expect a balance of turn up energy, cultural depth, and restorative moments that remind you what joy can feel like when shared with community.

Photos are examples; actual room may vary slightly based on availability and accommodation alignment.

The Accommodations

You’ll spend the week in a beautifully curated stay that places you right in the heart of Amsterdam’s most beloved neighborhoods. Think tree-lined streets, boutique shops, museums within walking distance, and cafés you’ll want to visit twice. Your homebase offers a clean blend of comfort and contemporary Dutch design, with spacious rooms, cozy beds, and plenty of natural light. Whether you’re winding down after a Pride-filled night or easing into your morning with a warm breakfast, your space feels like a calm retreat within a vibrant city. Double occupancy rooms are perfect for friends or partners traveling together, while solo travelers will find comfortable single-use options that still feel warm, inviting, and elevated. It’s an ideal setup for a full week of culture, celebration, and rest.

World Pride 2026

World Pride 2026 is more than a festival. It’s a global gathering of LGBTQ+ communities from around the world, and Amsterdam is hosting it with the kind of energy only a city built on creativity and openness can deliver. Throughout the week, the city becomes a sprawling celebration filled with street parties, concerts, art installations, cultural programming, queer history experiences, and community-focused events. The Pride March and Pride Park anchor the opening weekend, transforming the city with music, color, and unapologetic expression. Arts and culture activations, panel discussions, and neighborhood Pride takeovers add texture to the week, while DJs, performers, and international artists bring nightlife to another level.

This is one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in the world, drawing visitors from all walks of life who come together to celebrate identity, liberation, and global queer solidarity. During World Pride, Amsterdam feels like home for everyone who arrives here seeking a place where they can fully be themselves.

All official events can be explored here: https://pride.amsterdam/en/events/

NOTE: ITINERARY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Day One

ARRIVALS + CANALS

Your adventure begins the moment you land. After a smooth airport pickup, you will settle into your homebase. Take a moment to breathe in the fresh Amsterdam air before joining the group for an optional neighborhood stroll near Museumplein and Vondelpark that helps you get your bearings.

In the evening, we will gather with our Lesbifriends crew for a Welcome Circle. A dinner canal cruise (included) will carry us through shimmering waterways, historic bridges, and local neighborhoods glowing in golden hour light. It is the perfect way to ease into Amsterdam.

Day Two

TWO WHEELS + FRESH STREETS

Wake up to breakfast and get ready to explore the city like a local. This city was made for movement, and our guided Food & Culture Bike Tour (included) will take you through charming streets, canal rings, hidden courtyards, and cultural landmarks while enjoying delicious Dutch fare.

The afternoon is yours. Wander into a museum. Sip a cappuccino by the canal. Do a little shopping. Ease into the rhythm of Dutch life at your own pace. In the evening, we come back together for dinner (at your own cost) at a local spot followed by a Red-Light District & Coffee Shop Tour (included).

Day Three

WORLD PRIDE MARCH + MORE!

This is one of the biggest days of the trip and the entire city will feel electric. After breakfast we head out as a group for the World Pride March. This is a moment filled with music, color, love, and global connection. Amsterdam’s streets transform into a river of queer energy, and you get to be part of it!

After the march, the celebration moves to Pride Park in Vondelpark where there are performances, food, and places to rest in the grass under the trees. Evening is flexible. Some travelers may want dinner (at your own cost) with a smaller group. Others might to explore nearby queer nightlife. Wherever you end up, the vibes are unforgettable.

Day Four

ART, CULTURE + TOUCH OF QUEER

Today is for culture and curiosity on your own. Museums sit right in your backyard, and you can choose the experience that calls to you. The afternoon is open for you to explore the masterpieces at the Rijksmuseum, dive deep into Van Gogh’s world, or play with the contemporary collections at the Stedelijk (at your own cost).

In the evening, we share a flavorful group dinner (at your own cost) that honors the city’s multicultural food scene. Later that night we dive into a queer pub crawl with club entry (included) that highlights Amsterdam’s LGBTQ+ spaces in a fun and welcoming way.

Day Five

WINDMILLS + VILLAGE WONDERS

After breakfast at the hotel, we leave the city for a full day of Dutch countryside charm. Your guided Zaanse Schans, Edam, and Marken day trip (included) brings you into postcard worthy villages with working windmills, cobbled streets, cheese traditions, and harbor views. It is a gentle, scenic day that shows a different side of the Netherlands and gives you time to breathe after the intensity of Pride weekend.

When we return to Amsterdam mid afternoon, the rest of the day is open. This is a great window to visit the Anne Frank House (at your own cost) if it is on your list, or to revisit a neighborhood you loved earlier in the week.

Day Six

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

This is your flex day and is intentionally open so you can enjoy how you’d like. After breakfast at the hotel, the day is free for you to explore.

You might choose a Giethoorn guided day trip or opt for a cheese tasting, windmill and countryside bike tour. There is also an e-bike option for travelers who want to cover more ground with less effort. A Keukenhof entry and shuttle bus experience brings you into fields of flowers to admire. All of these add-ons are optional and solely paid by you.

In the evening, we gather for a farewell group dinner (at your own cost) that is optional but highly encouraged. After dinner, join an optional final Pride night out, one more chance to soak in the lights, music, and joy of the city before we say goodbye.

Day Seven

ONE LAST LOOK BEFORE YOU GO

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before taking a gentle morning walk along the canals or a quiet stroll through Vondelpark. It is the perfect way to close out the week. Your airport transfer will pick you up based on scheduled time provided. You will leave Amsterdam lighter, happier, and a little more connected than when you arrived.

Money/Currency

The national currency of the Netherlands is the Euro (EUR). Most establishments in Amsterdam, especially in tourist-friendly neighborhoods, restaurants, and shops, readily accept credit and debit cards, though it’s worth noting that some smaller businesses may only accept cards or prefer specific Dutch systems like Maestro or contactless payment apps. Card transactions may include bank fees and are subject to current conversion rates, which can fluctuate. Be sure to check with your bank in advance about international use and fees. It’s a good idea to carry some euros in cash for markets, tips, public transport, or places that don’t accept foreign cards.

Travel Insurance

Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Lesbifriends Travel requires you to have travel insurance for any trip you take with us. Your premium is related to your trip cost, so you don’t have to worry about being over-insured. We want to make your travel experience seamless, so sign up and we will get a travel insurance policy for you or we can provide you with a no obligation quote. If you opt not to go with our preferred travel insurance provider, you are required to get your own and proof of insurance may be requested before the trip.

Payments and Payment Plans

Get 10% off your entire trip if you pay in full at the time of the initial booking. Use discount code FULL during check out to save on your trip package. Please note that discount codes don’t apply to add-on options, and you can only use one code per booking.

All payments to Lesbifriends Travel are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Lesbifriends Travel has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.

When you sign up for a trip, you are automatically signed up for monthly payments and your confirmation email will clearly note your due dates and amount. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.

A $75 late fee will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Your trip is subject to cancellation after two missed payments.

  • If you are traveling alone and do not want to spend the extra money for a single occupancy room, we are happy to match you with a like-minded traveler to be your roommate on this trip. We understand that the extra money spent in getting your own room takes away from the money available for you to splurge while on vacation.

For that reason, we extend each traveler the option of having us pair you with a suitable roommate for no additional cost. Roommates are paired based on room selection and a potential roommate questionnaire if there are several solo travelers. Before the trip, you will be introduced to your roommate, with plenty of time for you to get to know each other before we reach our destination.

  • Do you know someone who is interested in joining our trip but has not been to a Lesbifriend event or trip? Here is your chance to save a little money while bringing them on a trip of a lifetime!

For every traveler that you refer to our trip, you will receive up to a $150 ($25 cash, $50 current trip credit, or $75 future domestic trip credit, or $150 future international trip credit) referral bonus once that person pays in full. There is no limit to the number of people you can refer; the only condition is that anyone you refer has not already signed up with Lesbifriends.

Be sure to tell your friend to enter your name on the registration form under “Who Referred You.”
