About the Role:

As a Trip Co-Leader for Lesbifriends Travel, you and a fellow co-leader will work together to ensure an unforgettable experience for our community. You’ll share responsibilities in keeping the energy high, handling any issues that arise, coordinating with the Operations team, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all travelers.

A Day in the Life:

No two days as a Trip Co-Leader are the same! You and your co-leader will follow a detailed itinerary, ensuring smooth execution of daily activities, resolving unexpected challenges, and fostering a strong sense of community among travelers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with your Trip Co-Leader to lead 8-16 travelers, delivering exceptional customer service and enthusiasm.

  • Address traveler questions and concerns professionally.

  • Adhere to and adapt the itinerary as needed.

  • Assist travelers throughout the trip.

  • Submit a trip recap and provide feedback.

  • Capture and create content for Lesbifriends Travel (blog posts, photos, Instagram stories, etc.).

  • Foster community and uphold the culture of Lesbifriends Travel.

Investment & Benefits:

Trip Co-Leaders invest 1/2 of the total trip cost, based on double occupancy. This covers a portion of accommodations, in-trip transportation, meals, and activities outlined in the itinerary. If a Trip Co-Leader prefers a private room, they will be responsible for the additional cost of the upgrade.

Must-Haves:

  • Passion for adventure travel.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Resourceful and calm under pressure.

  • Fluent in English.

  • CPR/First Aid training (or willingness to obtain before the trip).

  • Knowledge of local culture.

  • Ability to manage groups and speak publicly.

  • Interest in connecting with travelers and fostering inclusive experiences.

  • Experience with digital tools like Google Docs, Canva, and email.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Industry experience.

  • Photography or videography skills.

  • Wilderness First Responder training.

  • Local knowledge/contacts.

  • Long-term travel experience.

  • Fluency in the language of the destination country.

  • Trip Co-Leaders cover their transportation to the trip destination, personal expenses, and optional room upgrades.

  • We consider your preferences, language skills, and experience when assigning trips. Returning Co-Leaders get priority for specific itineraries.

  • We have 10+ trips planned in 2025, with more frequent trips starting in 2026.

  • Trip Co-Leading is a full-time responsibility during the trip. Outside of the trip, co-leaders are expected to co-lead a Virtual Trip Information Session (2-4 weeks prior) and actively participate in the group chat one week before and during the trip.

  • You and your co-leader will provide trip feedback within 10 days, including suggestions for itinerary improvements and a review of traveler experiences.
