Iceland
January 16th - 21, 2026
Spend 6 unforgettable days exploring Reykjavik and beyond. You’ll chase the Northern Lights, soak in natural hot springs, and discover Iceland’s unique culture with an intimate group of travelers. This trip is designed for connection, adventure, and a slower winter pace. You’ll have time to explore on your own, bond with fellow Lesbifriends, and enjoy all that Iceland has to offer you.
The Accommodations
We’ll be based in the heart of Reykjavik, staying at a modern boutique-style property just steps from shops, restaurants, and the city’s vibrant main street. The hotel offers bright, comfortable rooms with sleek Scandinavian design, plus access to a relaxing spa area with hot tubs and a sauna; perfect after a day of exploring Iceland’s winter wonders. Each morning, you’ll enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast featuring both international favorites and local flavors to fuel your adventures.
This central location means you’ll be able to stroll to cafés, shops, and nightlife with ease, while also having a cozy retreat to return to at the end of each day.
Day One
AURORA BEGINNINGS
Welcome to Iceland! After landing at Keflavík Airport, we’ll enjoy a private group transfer into the heart of Reykjavik. Once checked in, we’ll take a leisurely orientation walk along Laugavegur, the city’s lively main street lined with shops and cafés.
In the evening, we’ll gather for our signature welcome dinner at one of Reykjavik’s top restaurants. It’s the perfect way to kick off our adventure together.
Day Two
THE GOLDEN DAY
We’ll head out on Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, a full-day adventure filled with natural wonders. Stand between continents at Thingvellir National Park, watch geysers erupt at the geothermal field, and feel the mist from the mighty Gullfoss waterfall.
Midday, we’ll stop for a cozy greenhouse lunch at Friðheimar, where tomato soup and fresh bread are served among the vines. We’ll finish the day with a relaxing soak in the Secret Lagoon, Iceland’s oldest hot spring, before heading back to Reykjavik.
Day Three
CULTURE BY DAY, LIGHTS BY NIGHT
Start the day with a dose of Icelandic culture. You’ll choose between Aurora Reykjavik, an interactive museum about the Northern Lights, or the Reykjavik Art Museum, a showcase of local creativity.
The afternoon is free for exploring the city at your own pace. Think cafés, boutique shopping, or maybe a bakery stop. As night falls, the magic begins: we’ll set off on a small-group Northern Lights hunt. With luck, the sky will dance for us, and if not, the tour offers a free re-try.
Day Four
SOAK, SIP & EXPLORE
This day is all about choices at your expense with these amazing optional add-ons:
You may want to unwind in the oceanside serenity of Sky Lagoon or soak in the natural fjordside pools at Hvammsvik Hot Springs.
For those craving culture, explore the Icelandic Punk Museum, step back in time at the Árbær Open Air Museum, taste your way through town on the Reykjavik Food Walk, or watch molten rock flow before your eyes at the Icelandic Lava Show. In the evening, enjoy dinner or live music, the city’s nightlife is always buzzing.
Day Five
YOUR ICELAND, YOUR WAY
Today, you get to decide what kind of Iceland you want to see. Opt for one of these awe-inspiring optional add-ons: a South Coast tour to witness iconic sights like Seljalandsfoss (the waterfall you can walk behind), the mighty Skogafoss, and the dramatic Reynisfjara black sand beach.
Or choose the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, where you’ll find lava fields, fishing villages, coastal cliffs, and the picture-perfect Kirkjufell mountain. Either way, it’s a day packed with breathtaking scenery and unforgettable moments.
Day Six
GOODBYE TO THE LAND OF FIRE & ICE
On our final morning, we’ll take it slow with time for coffee, shopping, or one last dip in a local swimming pool. Then it’s time for our private transfer back to Keflavík Airport, hearts full from new Lesbifriendships and memories of Iceland’s winter magic.

Money/Currency
The national currency of Iceland is the Icelandic Króna (ISK). Most establishments in Iceland accept credit/debit cards, and do include bank fees and are subject to the current conversion rate, which does not vary much. Please check with your bank ahead of time so there are no surprises. It is recommended to bring some króna along with you because withdrawing cash has a high fee associated with it.
Travel Insurance
Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Lesbifriends Travel requires you to have travel insurance for any trip you take with us. Your premium is related to your trip cost, so you don’t have to worry about being over-insured. We want to make your travel experience seamless, so sign up and we will get a travel insurance policy for you or we can provide you with a no obligation quote. If you opt not to go with our preferred travel insurance provider, you are required to get your own and proof of insurance may be requested before the trip.

Get 10% off your entire trip if you pay in full at the time of the initial booking. Use discount code FULL during check out to save on your trip package. Please note that discount codes don’t apply to add-on options, and you can only use one code per booking.
All payments to Lesbifriends Travel are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Lesbifriends Travel has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.
When you sign up for a trip, you are automatically signed up for monthly payments and your confirmation email will clearly note your due dates and amount. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.
A $75 late fee will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Your trip is subject to cancellation after two missed payments.
-
If you are traveling alone and do not want to spend the extra money for a single occupancy room, we are happy to match you with a like-minded traveler to be your roommate on this trip. We understand that the extra money spent in getting your own room takes away from the money available for you to splurge while on vacation.
For that reason, we extend each traveler the option of having us pair you with a suitable roommate for no additional cost. Roommates are paired based on room selection and a potential roommate questionnaire if there are several solo travelers. Before the trip, you will be introduced to your roommate, with plenty of time for you to get to know each other before we reach our destination.
