Lesbifriends Travel invites you to join us for a moving afternoon of faith, art, and community as we gather to experience (pray), a bold and electric choreopoem written, directed, and choreographed by nicHi douglas.
Described by The New York Times as "transcendent, paradoxical & joyous," (pray) explores how faith intersects with Black womanhood through a powerful blend of music, movement, ritual, and poetry. Channeling the energy of a Sunday Baptist Church service, this kinetic and vibrant work gathers a multigenerational congregation of Black women for an evening of song, dance, fellowship, and reflection on spiritual inheritance.
This outing is about more than the show. It's about showing up together, supporting Black queer art, and creating space for shared experience and conversation.
Tickets:
You have two options:
Let us handle it - Purchase your ticket through us for $65 and we'll make sure the group is seated together. Select this option when you register below.
Get your own ticket - Prefer to purchase directly through Baltimore Center Stage? You're welcome to do that too. Just make sure to still RSVP below so we know you're coming!
This is a meet-up opportunity, not an official Lesbifriends Travel partnered event. We are not affiliated with the show or venue, we’re simply gathering our crew for a lovely afternoon out.
Pre-Show Brunch (Optional):
Want to kick off the day with us before the show? We're organizing a group brunch at 12:00 PM at a location in the Baltimore area, less than a 20-minute drive from the theater. Details will be shared closer to the date once we have a better sense of the group size.
Brunch will be at cost. We encourage everyone to bring cash, as the restaurant may not accommodate split checks or multiple payment methods.
You must select YES on the brunch question when you register below to be included on the reservation.
