๐ Summer Looks Good on Us. Pull Up!
Last year was beautiful. This year, we are going bigger.
Lesbifriends in the Park 2.0 is back as our annual summer day in the park, and we are leveling everything up. Same easy, joyful, come-as-you-are energy. New additions that make the whole day feel like a celebration. Bring your blanket, bring your people, bring yourself, and slide through whenever the day calls you. There is no pressure to be there the whole time. Come for an hour, come for all six, whatever feels good.
This is a free, donation-based event by and for Black queer women and non-binary folks. Everyone is welcome to support our community in whatever way feels right.
For privacy, the exact event location will be shared with confirmed attendees a few days before the event.
๐ The Vibe
This event is by and for Black queer women and non-binary folks. Allies are welcome when personally invited by someone in the community. The energy is relaxed, joyful, sober-friendly, and rooted in care. We are here to build something beautiful and respectful together.
โจNew This Year:
๐ถ A Curated Music Playlist - A community speaker setup playing the kind of music that keeps the day moving from afternoon into golden hour. Expect throwbacks, current hits, and the songs that get everyone on their feet.
๐๐พ Line Dancing in the Park - Whether you know every step or you are learning as you go, this is the kind of moment that brings the whole park together. Someone always takes the lead. Join in or just enjoy the energy from your blanket.
๐ Black & Brown Queer Vendors on Site - This year, we are inviting Black and brown queer vendors to share their goods with our community. Food, non-alcoholic drinks, handmade items, services, and more will be available throughout the day.
๐๏ธ Support Our Vendors
This is a big shift from last year so we want to be clear: instead of bringing your own food and drinks, we are asking the community to come ready to support the Black and brown queer vendors who will be on site.โ โEvery dollar you donate at the park goes directly back into the community we are building, and it helps us keep this event free for everyone.
๐ธ Free with a Suggested Donation
Lesbifriends in the Park 2.0 is free to attend, but a suggested donation of $10 or more is encouraged so we can keep offering low-cost and free events to the community. Your donation directly supports the cost of producing this gathering and ensures we can keep building experiences like this for our community for years to come. Donation details are below:
๐๐พโโ๏ธ Want to Vend?
This year, we are inviting Black and brown queer vendors of all kinds to set up shop with us. If you have a business, service, or handmade goods you would love to share with our community, we want you in the park.
