Everything you need to feel safer in your own body. 🙏🏽
Protect Your Peace is a quarterly workshop series designed to run year-round, with four sessions per year. It is a partnership between Lesbifriends Travel and two accomplished practitioners who bring deep expertise and lived commitment to the table.
Each two-hour session is co-facilitated by Sijara Eubanks, alongside Angelyce Serrano, LCSW, LICSW. Together, they bring a rare and powerful combination of physical self-defense training and trauma-informed mental health education into one cohesive experience.
Every session opens with grounding and mindfulness led by Angelyce, moves into practical self-defense instruction led by Sijara, and closes with a recentering practice that allows participants to process and integrate what they have learned.
At Lesbifriends Travel, we believe physical safety, mental wellness, and emotional resilience are inseparable, and that our community deserves programming that honors all three. Protect Your Peace was built with that belief at its center.
Why This Series Matters:
Self-defense is more than learning cool moves. It is about understanding and recognizing danger, being aware of your environment, and being deeply in tune with yourself. We believe in teaching physical AND emotional self-defense, which is why this series brings both together in every session.
Each session covers:
Grounding and mindfulness to arrive fully in your body
Environmental awareness and how to use your voice
3 to 5 self-defense techniques, which may include:

Blocking Punches
A recentering practice to process, integrate, and close the session with intention
