What is A Day of Play?

This is not your average event. It is a full day of consent, kink, and connection intentionally designed for Black queer women (femme, masc & trans) and nonbinary people. From a virtual mini course to an afternoon of immersive sessions, and an optional evening play party, A Day of Play invites you to tune in, learn new skills, and explore your desires in a supportive community at a private estate in the beautiful Purcellville, VA.

You will be day guests during our Pleasure Immersion Weekend trip. We’ve created this special opportunity for those who can’t make it on the entire trip but still want to engage in this experience with our Lesbifriends community. Come ready to play, learn, and explore what sensuality looks like on your terms.

What’s Included

• Day Retreat Only Admission: $150

• Day Retreat + Play Party Admission: $225

• Pre-Event Mini Course
  Learn the foundations of erotic play, breathwork, and consent culture. After you purchase your ticket for this event, you will need to register for the virtual course by November 1st. Once registered, attendees will receive a link to create an account and access both the mini virtual course and the virtual chat space. You are required to complete the virtual course no later than November 7th.

• Virtual Pre-Meet Up
  This virtual meet & greet will be held on November 4th at 8pm EST. This session is about an hour long and intended to build rapport ahead of the in-person event. Connect with fellow attendees, meet your hosts, and ask questions in a supportive virtual space.

• Day Retreat

  Spend the day diving into workshops about touch, sensuality, and erotic play in a container that’s as juicy as it is safe. You’ll have access to the estate’s amenities such as indoor & outdoor hot tubs. A meal and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Come curious, leave buzzing with new skills, connections, and a body that feels alive.

  As the sun sets, the estate transforms into a playground of wax, rope, and pleasure-forward vibes. Watch, mingle, and surrender to a night of Black queer magic where exploration is the dress code.

Meet Your Host: Dame Sadie

Dame Sadie (she/they) brings two decades of experience in the erotic arts to our event, from intimate rope work to breath-based somatics, rituals, and pleasure-led healing practices. As a Black, polyamorous, queer artist, educator, and community healer, they’ve earned their playful title: “The Pleasure Missionary.” With certifications in mindfulness, meditation, Reiki, and healing arts, Dame Sadie creates sacred, body-centered experiences that prioritize consent, pleasure, and self-awareness.

Having guided countless workshops, rituals, and embodied explorations, Dame’s deep yet approachable leadership ensures A Day of Play feels equal parts safety, ceremony, and spirited celebration. Imagine learning from someone who knows how to create both grounding and electric shifts with warmth, intention, and lots of heart.

Meet Neffie Khaos: Co-Founder of The Knotty House

Neffie (she/her/Goddess) is a shibari educator, sensually sadistic Pro-Dom who centers pleasure. She works on changing the narrative around plus size bodies being tied. She shows that with rope, there are many sides; sensual, meditative, healing, sadistic, grounding, even aftercare.

Superior (she/they) is a nomadic multimedia artist and bodyworker. Curating a life of practicing freedom through change and the engagement of community arts.

Minxy (she/her) has a mission is to facilitate connecting Black people with their heritage, to create safe spaces for Black folk to explore themselves and their interests, and to cultivate community – all things she feels are necessary in order to process our collective hurt, help each other heal, and move towards our full liberation.

What to Expect

This is a no-pressure, no-creep zone. Think curated playlists, kink demonstrations, and expert guidance, all set in a warm, affirming space designed with you in mind.

🖤 Dress Code: Kinky, playful, comfy. Feel free to bring a change of clothes to go from day event to evening play party, if you so choose.

Think: lacy lingerie, silky robes, mesh sets, leather harnesses, body chains, or your favorite comfy-chic loungewear. Whatever makes you feel sexy and at ease.

1:00 PM – 1:45 PM | The Petting Zoo
Exploring calibrated touch through verbal and nonverbal cues, inspired by the playfulness of animal movement.

2:00 PM – 2:45PM | Tap Tap Tap In
Impact Play 101. Techniques for solo and partnered impact using hands and pervertables.

3:00 PM – 3:45 PM | Kink on a Budget
Participants will learn how to make their playtime even more fun with a simple trip to the dollar store.

4:00 PM - 4:45 PM | Meal Time

5:00 PM – 9:00PM | The Exploratorium (Play Party)
Step into an immersive evening container of demos and guided pleasure zones. Sip & Play with Minxy, experience focused rope tune-ups with Neffie, localized massage with Superior, and featured demos by Dame including Genital Share and Wax/Impact Play.
