Michelle Reese-Wiseman is a native of Washington, DC and is the second born of 5 siblings. She is the owner and principal mortician of Wiseman Funeral Home in Camp Springs, Maryland. Her family moved to Prince Georges County, Maryland in the early 70s.
Mrs. Wiseman attended Largo Senior High School and is a graduate of The University of the District of Columbia. Michelle holds a degree in Applied Science in the discipline of Mortuary Science and is licensed to serve families in the state of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Her journey in the death care industry began in August 2003. She has worked for many of the well-known funeral establishment in the Washington Metropolitan area. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Academics at her alma mater UDC.
She is a published co-author of the book “Permission to Win.” She is a Master barber who enjoys using her barbering skills to serve men and women in assisted living housing with haircuts free of charge. Mrs. Wiseman is the first generation of Morticians in her family and opened the doors of Wiseman Funeral Home & Chapel in November of 2008 at the height of a major economic recession. Wiseman Funeral Home is a full - service funeral care provider that specializes in earth burials, cremations, memorial services, national and international shipping and receiving of human remains.
It is Mrs. Wiseman’s compassion for people and the very delicate act of caring for families that lead her to become an owner-operator. Michelle continues to be both grateful and in awe at the level of support Wiseman Funeral Home receives from the community.
